I was on vacation in Mexico last week, and went to a buffet at an all-inclusive resort. they had a steam tray full of bacon. Delicious, crunchy morsels. Not just boring strips, but all wadded up into twisted wonderful balls. man, do they know how to make Americans happy.

Tomorrow is Sunday. I usually get up early with my 4-year old son so my wife can sleep in. He and I make breakfast, usually pancakes, sometimes with chocolate chips. Today when he was reluctant to go down for an afternoon nap, I bribed him telling him if he was good, I'd make him some bacon for breakfast. Total 180 attitude change. Bacon can do that? Am I a good father or a bad one for using bacon as a behavioral bribe? Discuss.
